This Year’s Theme: Best Practices

PCC is looking forward to June 19th – 22nd. That’s when our PCC family will pack their bags and journey to Denver, Colorado for our annual Users’ Conference.

This year, it’s all about best practices – in the broadest sense of the word. That means we’ll be sharing both PCC-specific and industry-wide best practices, but we also want to hear from our clients – what are your best practices? This UC will foster a collective ‘hive-mind’, where we all share best practices with the intention of supporting each other as we work toward greater proficiency and success. To facilitate the sharing of best practices, we have built more client panels and roundtable discussion courses into this year’s schedule.

And that’s not all that is new. This year, our Tuesday all-day preconference session is focused on Human Resources. This is an exciting departure from the past few years which were spent focusing on PCMH.

After a year of many natural disasters, we’ll be featuring a disaster preparedness panel discussion that includes PCC practices who were affected by those emergency situations. These clients will be able to share the insights and knowledge gained by going through these experiences.

Similar to last year, we are offering courses in tracks at the 2018 UC. We are excited to provide a brand-new track on business management. This will include classes on growing your business, strategic planning, and more. Other tracks to choose from include clinical, practice management, coding/billing, and patient communication.

June 19 - Preconference & Welcome Reception

Preconference Seminar: Human Resources Basics: Build a More Effective Practice, 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

The UC 2018 Preconference opens with a day devoted to Human Resources. Guest speakers will cover topics including Interviewing and Hiring, Employee Evaluations, Progressive Discipline and Firing and more. Time will be set aside for a Question & Answer sessions. Can't attend the full day? Half day options are available.

Space for this event is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Preconference Roundtable: PCC EHR, 8:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Learn some of the most effective methods for harnessing the clinical power and efficiency of PCC EHR. Join this guided discussion to find out how other practices are making PCC EHR work for them. We will cover workflow, handling referrals, eLabs, and how to use the patient portal. Topics covered will be client-driven, so let us know what you want to learn from the training when you register. Come with your questions. Interactive. Space is limited.

Preconference Roundtable: PCC Practice Management System, 1:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.

If you're new (with under two years of use) to PCC's Practice Management System, chances are you've yet to discover all the time - and money - saving features your system has to offer. This class is the perfect forum for asking questions and learning how to tailor Partner to the needs of your practice. Be sure to include your top discussion topics when you register. Personal billing, form letters, recalling patients. Interactive. Space is limited.

Evening Welcome Reception, 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Also planned for June 19 is our evening Welcome Reception, from 6 to 8 p.m. Pick up your UC T-shirt and bag and mingle with fellow attendees. It's also the perfect opportunity to chat with PCCers and pick their brains about which courses would most benefit you.

June 20 - 22 - Users' Conference

The PCC UC continues June 20 - 22 with our main event - three full days of courses custom-designed to help your doctors and staff navigate an increasingly complex health care environment and make smart decisions regarding your practice's clinical and financial health.

Course Descriptions

Breakfast and lunch are provided for all attendees and registered guests.

Registration is included in your Care Plan for all PCC customers with a currently active Care Plan agreement.

Guest Registration

PCC's Guest Registration option allow your traveling companions the choice of attending UC meals and special events, including breakfast and lunch at the conference on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Registered guests will also received a conference t-shirt. Registration fee is $150.

Guests are not admitted to conference classes. There are no extra fees for registered guests ages 6 and under.

Remember to book your room online or via phone (303-295-1234, referencing the PCC 2018 Users' Conference as the group name) at the Grand Hyatt Denver for UC 2018, as well as your flight if you are traveling by plane.

The discounted rate for hotel rooms in the PCC block is $239/night plus tax for a single/double occupancy. Additonal rates apply for more than 2 adults in a room. Reservations must be made by May 28 and rooms are subject to availability.
